The method

The Clever Coding Way

The Clever Coding Way is the delivery method Phase 2 onboards you into — not a slogan.

It is the set of principles distilled from running Clever Coding since 2008 across hundreds of projects, iterated through shipped products such as the starter app and the emergency app. Both were built as shared libraries customized per client, which is the same architecture PocketCloud now generalizes. On top of that sits 26 years of work in education, enterprise, and VC-backed startups.

See the operating system behind the delivery

Clever Coding is PocketCloud’s Customer Zero → One. Its real domains, traffic, repositories, leads, deployments, and business operations exercise the platform; PocketBusiness is the reference sample app and cockpit that makes those systems visible.

That cockpit brings together sites, processes, analytics, experiments, products, leads, databases, AI artifacts, deployments, and node health.

Frequently asked questions

How does a PocketCloud Custom Implementation engagement work?

Every engagement begins with an architectural consultation and technical scoping session. We tailor the project to your technical requirements, deliver working native prototypes on real devices within days, and build out complete, production-verified cross-platform systems under fixed-milestone agreements. Contact us to schedule an initial consultation.

Can an existing app or project be modernized with PocketCloud?

Yes. We specialize in legacy platform migrations and technical rescues for organizations with established products (iOS, Android, React/Vue, or legacy backends). We audit your existing codebase, transform legacy databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Firebase, MongoDB) into synchronized local SQLite stores, refactor surfaces to thin Swift/TypeScript adapters, and integrate local AI without disrupting existing users or data.

How quickly can we see a working prototype?

Most standard prototype sprints are delivered in about one to two weeks after technical discovery and scope agreement. You test functional software running on your own hardware before committing to full-scale rollout.

Who owns the code and intellectual property?

You own 100% of the project source code, Git repositories, customer data, and account configurations. PocketCloud platform components are licensed under a perpetual, royalty-free, unlimited-seat license that survives any engagement.

How is dedicated development infrastructure handled?

Development nodes and dedicated machines are configured with zero-cloud egress and least-privilege access. All repositories, keys, and operational artifacts are reproducible on your own hardware.

What does the lifetime license actually grant?

A perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and non-sublicensable license to use the PocketCloud Platform as incorporated in the platform/project created for you, with unlimited seats inside your organization, plus releases published while PocketCloud is published. Repository access is read access under confidentiality. It is not a support contract or an SLA, and it does not convey ownership of PocketCloud or the right to redistribute, resell, or publish a competing derivative. It terminates only upon breach of confidentiality or redistribution outside the project.

Do ChatGPT, Codex, the OpenAI API, Gemini, and Claude share one subscription?

No. Provider subscriptions, API projects, billing, and plan names are separate where each provider defines them that way. We configure the appropriate client-owned products and document the account inventory at handoff.

Does every third-party AI permanently learn my project?

Not necessarily. Provider data use depends on the selected plan, settings, and current provider terms. The durable project continuity comes from your client-owned accounts, repositories, configuration, exportable history, and PocketCloud knowledge layer — which runs on your node.

Does the Android app run AI on the phone?

No. Android is a client of your node, not a second engine: at launch it reaches the models running on your paired PocketCloud node rather than running them on the phone. What Android keeps is what matters — your node, your accounts, your data, not a third-party cloud. On-device inference on Android is not part of the launch scope. Apple devices are different: iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple TV run models on the device itself. The privacy argument is unaffected either way, because the node is your machine on your accounts rather than a metered platform.

Are all platforms published to every app store?

Your statement of work identifies which surfaces are launch-certified and which are delivered as buildable foundations. We advertise a platform only after its build, packaging, core workflow, and device verification are green, or with a dated commitment we own — Android is committed for 2026-08-25. Store publication is included only when named in scope, and third-party acceptance is never guaranteed.

What happens after the initial product launch?

You can continue ongoing managed platform maintenance and architecture enhancements month to month, operate the system completely in-house with your own team, or transition to our engineering retainers as your product scales.
